Divide (Albion's power)¶
In the story, Issei took Vali's jewel into his gauntlet. Here, a Boosted Gear holder who takes Albion's power can Divide too, but only in the red Scale Mail, and only at a price.
Getting it¶
Beat the White Dragon Emperor and take Albion's jewel while you wear the Scale Mail. Hold use on the jewel for 5 seconds.
A short cutscene plays: the blue jewel is driven into the forearm's, a burst of light and green shards, a dome of light, the armour's jewels flickering blue, then the left forearm turns white and the gauntlet calls "Vanishing Dragon Power Is Taken". Sneak skips it.
You never get Divine Dividing itself, and Tensura's copying skills don't copy this power.
The mode¶
Divide (the Boosted Gear's mode 6) joins the mode key's cycle once you have the power.
- Outside the Scale Mail it says "Only in the Scale Mail."
- In Juggernaut Drive's dragon the keys stay the dragon's (see In the dragon).
- While Divide is on one of your first three ability slots, the Scale Mail's left forearm is white with Albion's blue jewel, and everyone sees it. It flashes white as it changes.
The strike¶
Your left hand strikes what you look at, up to 8 blocks away, and lands one Divide:
- its attack halves for 30 seconds (not its speed);
- half its magicules and aura flow into yours (what doesn't fit is lost);
- a Boosted Gear enemy loses a held stack.
There is no bonus to your attack and no mastery: Boost stays the gear's strength.
Once per enemy. While an enemy is still divided (by you or anyone), it can't be divided again. After its 30 seconds, it can. A boss that refuses effects is remembered, so it is still only once. An enemy with over ten times your max EP is beyond you.
The price¶
Each Divide costs life
Each Divide takes 2% of your max health, which grows back 1% every 10 minutes of play.
- It counts toward Juggernaut Drive's half. At that floor Ddraig refuses ("Your life can't pay for another Divide, partner."), and he refuses Drives too while your Divides fill it.
- Becoming a dragon race clears it along with the Drive's debt, and so does
/dxdtensura lifespan clear. - Misses and refusals cost nothing.
- There are 5 seconds between Divides.
- Creative pays nothing.
In the dragon¶
In Juggernaut Drive, the power divides attacks instead, with no life price:
- shots and spells on course to hit the dragon within 8 blocks shrink to a white spark and vanish (a friend's shots, your pets' and thrown tridents fly on);
- every other hit lands at half (except the void and
/kill); - "Divide! Divide!" plays, and the dragon's wing jewels flare bright blue each time it divides, fading back to green.
The panel¶
In the Divide mode, the panel shows Divide's key and your life cost, like "Life -16% (6% heals)": what your life carries, and the part still growing back.
